Alacati day four
The wind is still holding nicely here in Alacati. This morning we went for race number seven. I had a brilliant start and came to the first mark with Ben, unfortunately he pushed me down and I fell. Before I got up I was already one of the last ones. What a start of the day.
Second race I had four very hard opponents, so I took my 90l board and 7.0 as the wind got stronger and I wanted to go full or nothing. After the first jibe I was with Jimmy and we fight all the way till the third mark for the fourth place, but than he made a better jibe and I could course in 5th place till the finish mark.
We have started also race number nine today. I was trying to cover FRA -105 on the start and after he launched to the start line I was sure it was an overearly and so was Josh Angulo, so we both kind of stopped. After recognizing that there was no overearly we went for it and it was a thought fight all over the course. On the last mark I was still in front of him and I made a very good jibe, but he went way more downwind and took the chance to overtake me. I finished 5th again and did not qualify. I was very angry to have such a bad day, but this is sport and mistakes are made. Tomorrow is a new day and I hope for the best.
