Alacati day three
The wind in the morning looked about the same like the first two days only a bit gustier. I started the day with the 8.4m2 and the 112l. Right at the beginning of the heat my yesterdays starting training was rewarded as I had the best start. The wind was very gusty so after every mark we had to pump like crazy, I kept my third place till the finish line and I passed the round. In the quarterfinal I started relatively good, but after the first jibe I got stuck and made it out only in 7th that I kept till the end.
The wind got stronger and I took my 7.7m2. I was in the first heat of race six. After a good start I came out of the jibe together with Menegatti (ITA - 4) with whom we had a fight through the entire course for position 3 and 4. In the meantime the guy in fifth was taking the advantage of our battle and was coming closer and closer. On the last mark Menegatti made me jibe really wide and the French guy snaked inside to pass me. I was very angry to let go another qualification, but I learned from it, that next time when I am in 4th I have to keep it not try to come 3rd.
After six races I am on 34th place. I did a few mistakes to much, but I am racing better and better so I am optimistic for the next half of the competition days.
