Bol open 2010
The week before Costa Brava Finian Maynard and me decided to go
to Croatia
to test some gear and to join a local competition that is a part of a big
Croatian slalom circuit. It was the first time for him to be on the island of Brac, where I spent so many amazing
moments at the beginnings of my career.
We had some amazing days with also very strong wind, so Bol
delivered us the best what it has to offer and the Zoo-station and his owner
Toni took care that we had everything to feel like at home. On Saturday we raced
4 races of full-fleet downwind slalom with 19 competitors in a perfect wind. I
sailed all the races with 8.7 Aero + Challenger that is a machine and my X-fire
135. I had three 2nd places and once I even finished the line in
front of Finian as 1st. In the overall I finish the race on second
with Finian in first and Luka Mratovic in third. The race was very good
training and a lot fun. In the evening a small party was on with friends like
in the old days. Next day I went to Spain
for my first PWA race of this year, Costa Brava.
