Fuerteventura day 4

In the morning there appeared to be two competing winds in the competition area, a slightly stronger cross onshore one out to sea, and a light offshore breeze on the inside, so the competition was on hold until afternoon when the wind picked up enough (14-20 knots) to race.
I was in heat 8th and I decided to go on my Aero + 7.8 and the RRD X-fire 112l. In the gusty wind I was hoping for a stronger wind as I prefer it. I had an OK start, but I could not get any speed on the first reach I was still fighting for the 4th place till the last mark where I slipped from the board and crashed. I finished 5th but I was so angry to do such a mistake and than I even found out my boom slipped down for like 10 cm  and that was the reason I had no speed on the first reach.
What a day, but it is all in the process of learning and hopefully on the last day it will be better! Despite the bad performance I am still motivated to race and kick some ass!
