I continue Fuerteventura even better

After a very good first day I was optimistic, but on the other hand I felt a bit of pressure to continue well. I was in the first heat of the day and had not the best start, but I was sailing aggressively down the sixth mark course. On the fifth mark I attached F – 99 and I was missing on more place to qualify. It was all down to the last mark where I went full inside and ITA – 4 made a mistake. Sixth place was mine and I made it again to the semi! I had not a good heat in the semi, so I decided to abandon it and save energy for the loser final. I had a good speed on the first reach and unfortunately I slipped from the board in the second jibe and manage to finish on the tenth place, 22nd for the race.
I was tired already but somehow I felt good before the race five. I had an amazing start on a different four-jibe course, but unfortunately I had collusion on the first mark. I manage to get up quick and sail away in sixth which I kept till the finish although I did a not very save last jibe. I was happy to pass, but a bit angry to not sail consistently. Than come the semifinal, where three guys were overearly. I made a good start and on the first mark USA – 34 went down, so I came out of the first jibe in sixth. I did not even dare to think that was my chance so I sailed on full power. I heard Mika was breathing at my neck before the last jibe; I was on exact same situation that on Pozo, last mark in qualifying position and Buzianis behind me. I decided to go full! I lied down the sail and jibed super close to the mark, Mika did not expect that and went down. I knew I did it, the winner final!!!! First in my short slalom career. In the winners final I sailed medium and managed to pass only SUI – 69, so I finished 11th in race five.
After lunch brake it was race number six with the same course and the wind picked up to solid 40 knoths. In the first heat I had a grate start and I sailed from the first mark to the finish line on the 5th place, semi again, yes! In the semi I went down on the second mark so I went to the beach to get the breath for the loser final. I started it perfect and had very good speed to the first jibe that I jibed as 4 or 5th, but after a good jibe I was unlucky to fall in to a wind whole. Down the course I manage to pass two guys and another 22nd place today. After two days I am on 21st place.
In the PWA press relies they mentioned:
Yesterday’s sailor of the day, Tine Slabe (RRD), made history this afternoon, when he became the first Slovenian in Windsurfing’s history to make it through to a slalom winners’ final.
