Podersdorf event is finished
I am finally home after a very long event in Austria. This year the lake was quite windy. After eight competition days we finished a full double elimination of freestyle and 4 slalom races. Unfortunately we only did half of the 5th race so it did not count, after my last blog post after day 2 of slalom. So my final position on the first slalom event of the season staid 25th place. I was quite happy with my sailing, but couple of small mistakes made me drop a few places. If we would finish the 5th elimination I would also got a few places up as I was in a good position.
On this event the organizer decided to give a price money of 5000 EUR for the first place of the overall results, so they combined freestyle and slalom results. After the calculation I found out that I lost the tittle for not more than two points, but this is sport and a second place in such a hard concurrence proved again that I am one of the best overall sailors out there.
Now I have to rest a bit as on Thursday I already fly to Korea for the next slalom world cup.
