Sylt 2008 - after 7 days of competitions!
Lots of rain and still sketchy winds here in Sylt. Two rounds of waves are finished and we did the third elimination of slalom.
Onshore wind and powerful shore brake don’t make it easy to go on the water and even in light wind there is at least three-meter swell. It is also really hard to choose the right size as the wind is up and down all the time. In the third race I was with my Stealth 8.8 and the SX L. I finally had a good start and came to the first mark in third place. I jibe and when I tried to turn the cambers my board got stuck on a chop so I catapulted. Till I got up the group was already goon. And again a bad result, somehow it just doesn’t get together. Maybe is the cold or I am just not concentrated enough. I hope we will do some more races that I can improve at list a bit my result.
