Sylt - day 5
Yesterday was a long long day, 8 h in wetsuit and full 4 eliminations done. Many people did quite a few mistakes and I was not an exception. In the first race I was just too excited and fell down on the first mark and I was just trying to catch up and I manage to pass the finish line on 8th place. We had heats of 12 people and 6 would advance. In the second race I set up the equipment better and my speed started to be very good. I had a good start and after the first mark I was third, i kept the same place till the finish line. In the semifinal I sailed averaged and finished 9th and in the losers final I was fighting with Diaz and Denel over the whole course, but at the end I was 9th which meant a 21th place in the second elimination. I was quite happy with that so I wanted to continue the same way, but unfortunately was not like that. The wind started to be more gusty and lighter so it was more difficult to start. I had a bad starts in race 3 and 4. I managed to pass some people till the finish line but both times I finished 8th. In the last race the wind was on absolute limit, but they still finish it.
After four races I am on 30th place which is not so good, so I hope we will still do some more racing.
