Turkey day 1
At 14h the first heat of Pegasus Airlines Cup was on and I was in heat number 5. I was on my 8.7 and the RRD X-fire 135.
The wind was gusty and light. I did not have a very good start but reached the first mark in the group. The wind went down to absolute minimum and we were all pumping like crazy almost all second leg and I managed to start planning at the same time as Cyril. We were fighting till the finish for the 4th but I lost the fight and finished 5th, so I did not qualifiy.
After almost 3h of competition race director decided to use new format where the top 20 are seeded through. Than I had the second chance of the day in heat 3. I had a good start and managed to come to the first mark in 4th. Kozanuglo was leading in front of Diethelm, Cucchi and me. In the second jibe I did a small mistake and lost two places, so I was out of qualifying positions, but I went "full or nothing" on the last jibe and with a good speed I managed to cross the finish line in 5th. That was a solid race!
In the next heat I somehow got stucked on the start and started by far last. On the fist mark I jibed well and by the end of the course I managed to pass Orth. I was so angry for the bad start!
Tomorrow - no mistakes!!!! I can feel how fast I am, just those mistakes!!! gggrrrr
